Grand County fishing report for the week of 9-20-20

Here is your Middler Park fishing report for the week of 9-20-20.

Williams Fork - Water capacity is 87%. Ramp hours are 7AM to 7PM. Surface temp is 57. The Lake Trout bite is good until mid-day. Mixed age groups can be found in 70 to 80 foot of water. Working small grubs, tubes or spoons tipped with sucker meat on the bottom should get hit. Rainbows are slow but as the water cools in the campground bays the bite will pick up. Pike fishing is slow. Larger Pike are moving into shallower water late morning. Any lure that can be fished on a slow to medium retrieve is picking up follows and an occasional hit. Kokanee trolling is slow. Grand Lake - The bite has been moderate. Lake trout are hanging in 35 - 50 of water and we are starting to see some spawning behavior from the lake trout. Small spoons tipped with sucker meat have produced most of the lake trout. Rainbows and browns are being caught at the surface early in the morning. Sam Hochevar- Guide, Fishing with Bernie

Lake Granby- Browns are fishing well at night, minnow baits reeled in very slowly are getting bit. Rainbows are a little more active on the shorelines. Powerbait and worms are getting bit. Lake trout are moving towards their spawning beds. Most fish seem to be in 50-80' of water. Grubs and spoons tipped with sucker meat are getting bit.
