Here is your middle park fishing report for the week of 9-17-18. Williams Fork, Surface temp is in the low 60's at 7AM. New ramp hours are 7AM to 7PM. Water level is at 85% and dropping. The inlet is closed to fishing. Fishing is slow for all species. Lake trout bite is hit or miss. One day fishing is good the next day the bite is off. We are catching young lake trout in 70 to 100 foot of water on rubber jigs tipped with sucker meat. Bite seems better on choppy water. Pike are slow. As the lake cools trophy Pike will be moving shallow water to sun. Stocked and resident Rainbows are being caught on small spinners early and late in the day. Cast to rises. We are still seeing small schools of Kokanee at 40 foot as we move around looking for Lake Trout. Kokanee trolling is slow. Trollers are averaging one or two fish a day. Grand lake, Rainbows are still fair to good in the evenings with spoons or a fly and a bubble. Lake trout are very finicky, We caught some last week with very small white and chartreuse Reelbait plain jane spoons tipped with sucker meat.

Wolford, Kokanee fishing is still pretty good. A lot of limits being caught by trollers. The fish are deep, down riggers or heavy spoons will help reach these fish.

Granby, The lake trout are slowly moving to their spawning areas. Small plastics or spoons seem to be the key right now. White or chartreuse power twisters, Gulp minnows, Reelbait "plain Jane" spoons all tipped with sucker meat will entice strikes.
