Grand County Fishing Report Week of 6/21/2021

Grand Lake - water temp 52 - 57. Rainbows have been biting great around the inlets in 5 to 10 feet of water. The brown bite has slowed down as they have moved deeper.  They are being caught in 10 to 15 feet of water on crankbaits and spoons. Lake trout have been biting good in 30 to 50 feet of water and are being caught on small plastics tipped with sucker meat.  Fishing with Bernie Guide, Sam Hochevar

Williams Fork - Ramp hours are 6AM to 8PM. Water capacity is at 89%. The lake is 8 feet low. The surface temp is 64 which is 9 degrees warmer than the same date last year, warming to 67 late day. Keep any eye out for debris on the lake for the next couple of weeks. The Lake Trout bite is good with most fish being caught in 60 to 80 feet of water. Tubes or grubs tipped with sucker meat is producing fish. Watch your electronics and keep moving to stay on biting fish. Bank fishing or casting for Rainbows is slow due to low population, as is trolling for Kokanee. Northern's are lounging in shallow water late morning but they're tough to get to bite. Slow moving floating or suspending baits are your best bet. Fishing with Bernie Guide, Randy H

Lake Granby - Water temps are hitting 65 degrees by the afternoon. Fishing has remained good despite the warm weather. Lake seems to have stopped filling at water level is topped out at approximately 14’ from full. Rainbows are being caught early in the day around the moving water inlets, Little Cleo, Thomas Buoyant and Blue fox spinners in blue/silver and Pink/silver have been best producers. Brown trout are biting on deep diving cranks around rocky shorelines and mud/rock transition areas. Lake trout bite has remained good. Fish are being caught from 50-85’ of water. Small dark colored plastics such as tubes and grubs tipped with sucker and worked in subtle movements right on the bottom has been our go to. Traffic on weekends has been heavy, be patient and diligent while traveling on the lake. FIshing with Bernie Guide, Dan Shannon.
