Control your fluorocarbon

on Mon, 02/27/2017 - 19:02

Have you ever used flourocarbon and had it spring off the reel and cause a big mess? The first way to avoid the problem is to make sure not to over fill the spool. When I do over fill, here is how I control it.    https://youtu.be/GOGlOwbX7Zo

A guides life

Spring fishing, summer fishing, guided fishing trips on lake granby, Lake Granby, Lake trout

As a fishing guide I get to fish more then anyone I know. On hot bites I get to net a lot of fish, slap high fives and listen to people giggle with excitement when they get a big fish on.

I generally get my Crestliner ready in April for ice off in May.

Crankbaits, Swimbaits, Single Hooks and Really Big Fish

spring fishing

In the early 70's my cousin introduced me to fishing. He would take me to private ponds and we would catch Bluegills, Crappies, and Bass with a bobber and Flea Flies. He taught me about varying the depth to find the fish, and to keep the jig out of the weeds.

Spring ishing

Last spring we were in the boats on Lake Granby April 14th. This year I fished on the ice April 28th. What a difference a year makes. Over the next 2 weeks Granby will be losing it's ice. Looking up into Rocky Mountain National Park (above Grand Lake) I see a lot of snow.
