Lake Granby Area Fishing Report 9-1-2015

The Colorado river in Rocky Mountain National Park is fishing very well for brookies, dry flies in the evening have been awesome. The Colorado is fishing very well with a hopper dropper combo. Lake trout in Granby have been hitting twister tails and other small jigs tipped with sucker meat. Grand lake is fishing very well for 15-20" lake trout along with an occasional large fish. Pike at Williams fork continue to hit topwater baits in the evening, 3&4" ripple shads on 3/8 oz jig heads are getting a few throughout the day. Trollers are catching a few rainbows and browns long lining small crank baits over deep water and lake trout 60-80 feet deep with silver and gold spoons.
