Lake Granby Area Fishing Report 6-9-2015

The fishing report is brought to you by "Fishing with Bernie" (www.fishingwithbernie.com). The area lakes are fishing Great. The lakers in all our lakes have started to move a little deeper, but they will eat. Havoc tubes, Berkley power twister tail and spoons with a small piece of sucker meat have been working very well lately. Browns and rainbows are still cruising the shallows and will hit a variety of crank baits and jigs but it is an early or late bite.  The rivers in the area have cleared up and the fish are responding very well to flies and lures fished close to structure. There is almost no reason to wade in high water, the fish are tight to the banks.  Grand lake is producing some large lake trout as well as browns along the shorelines.  Pike in Williams Fork are hitting suspending crank baits fished in 4-8 feet of water. Kokanee at Wolford are very shallow, they might be 2-5 feet deep over 80 feet of water. Assorted spoons are working very well.  Rainbows are cruising the shorelines, small tubes and spoons are a great bet. Rainbows and browns are cruising the banks at Dillon reservoir while the Char are moving deeper. Bernie Keefe has been guiding the middle park area for over 20 years.
